Product Overview
The Schneider Electric GV3P40
is a three-pole thermal-magnetic motor circuit breaker
from the TeSys GV3 / TeSys Deca range,
designed for motor protection in industrial
electrical systems.
It features a 30–40A adjustable thermal
protection range and a
40A rated current.
The thermal-magnetic protection system
provides overload and magnetic short-circuit
protection for correctly selected motor circuits.
The GV3P40 is rated for
18.5kW motor applications at
400/415V AC under the specified
manufacturer operating conditions.
The rated ultimate short-circuit breaking
capacity is 50kA Icu at 400/415V AC
in accordance with IEC 60947-2.
The device features a
rotary operating knob
and EverLink BTR screw connectors
for power circuit connections.
The manufacturer specifies a
690V AC rated operational voltage,
a 690V rated insulation voltage
and a 6kV rated impulse withstand
voltage.
