Product Overview

The Fluke 1503 is a portable digital insulation resistance tester designed for electrical insulation checks, troubleshooting, equipment commissioning and preventive maintenance. It provides two insulation test voltages, 500V and 1000V DC, with insulation resistance measurement capability up to 2000 MΩ. The tester also measures AC/DC voltage up to 600V and supports low-resistance earth-bond measurements up to 20.00 kΩ. For additional protection, the instrument detects energized circuits and inhibits insulation testing when terminal voltage exceeds 30V. An automatic discharge function helps remove stored capacitive voltage after insulation measurements. Its large backlit digital display, remote test probe support and portable battery-powered design make it suitable for electrical field servicing.
